The results for the October/November 2024 National Foundation Certificate (NFC) to Higher National Diploma (HND) examinations conducted by the Higher Education Examinations Council (HEXCO) are now available.
In a statement released yesterday, Permanent Secretary for Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science, and Technology Development, Professor Fanuel Tagwira, announced that HEXCO centres could begin collecting results from their respective regions starting Wednesday, January 29, 2025.
Prof Tagwira commended the performance of candidates, highlighting a significant improvement in the pass rate compared to previous examinations.
"We are pleased to announce that 67 percent of the students who sat for the October/November 2024 HEXCO examinations achieved success. This remarkable improvement reflects the dedication and hard work of both students and educators," he said.
The Permanent Secretary expressed gratitude to all stakeholders involved in the examination process, emphasizing their contributions to achieving the encouraging results.
"The Ministry extends its appreciation to all involved in making these examinations a success, from the preparation phase to the marking and release of results. The efforts of lecturers, examiners, and administrative staff have played a pivotal role in this achievement," said Prof Tagwira.
Students and their guardians have been advised to check with their respective HEXCO centres to collect results. Institutions and stakeholders are encouraged to continue their efforts toward enhancing the quality of technical and vocational education in Zimbabwe.
