Promising rugby player, Moses Mazomba was put on an Ethiopian Airlines plane on Thursday night but kicked such a fuss that the pilot ordered him off the plane.
The 24-year-old who has been living in Glasgow since 2008 is now back again in detention.
Supporters who are trying to help him remain in the UK revealed he had not in fact left the country, and instead became disruptive and after several minutes of struggle was ordered off by the pilot. He is now housed in Colnbrook detention centre, Middlesex.
"Moses was not deported last night. He is now back in Colnbrook detention centre next to Heathrow airport. He was the last passenger put on the plane with four or five security guard escorts just before the plane was due to take off.
"On the plane Moses refused to co-operate and after three or four minutes of struggling with his guards the pilot ordered his removal from the plane as it was disrupting the flight. Moses seems to be fine apart from a sore throat from his shouting," said one of the campaigners fighting to keep Moses in Glasgow.
Moses came to the UK in 2008 to receive medical treatment for an eye condition, but claimed asylum following the political problems in Zimbabwe. The asylum claim was refused and Moses has been in detention since August.
