Danish Minister of Trade and Development Cooperation Mogens Jensen will visit Zimbabwe for high-level meetings scheduled from November 5-7 as relations between Zimbabwe and the West continue to thaw, Fin24 reported.
In a statement, the Danish embassy said Jensen's visit underlines Denmark's willingness to normalise relations with Zimbabwe and the steps the Nordic country has taken towards this.
Members of the Danida External Grant Committee, which plays a key role in the allocation of funds in Danish development programmes globally, will form part of Jensen's delegation.
Jensen's visit comes at a time when the United Kingdom has also sent a trade mission to Zimbabwe, its first in over a decade.
Jensen also comes at a time when the European Union is set to make a policy announcement on the restrictions placed on Zimbabwe over the past decade.
