Woman loses chunk of flesh

CHITUNGWIZA woman reportedly lost a chunk of flesh from her neck after it was bitten by her husband's former wife.
Ellen Shoko was attacked by one Locadia Zireva who went on to bite her on her cheek and finger after confronting her at her vending stall.
Zireva was arrested and charged with physical abuse in contravention of the Domestic Violence Act following the attack It is said on March 3 the complainant was at her vending stall at Chigovanyika Shopping Centre in St Mary's when she was confronted by Zireva.
She allegedly went on to disturb the complainant's vending by throwing away her wares. It is said the complainant inquired why.
Zireva was disturbing her business by throwing away her wares and Zireva grabbed her by the neck and bit her on the right cheek.
The court heard that she went on to bite the complainant's finger.
It is alleged that the complainant also lost some flesh from bites on the neck. The complainant was reportedly rescued by passersby.
The complainant could not stomach the abuse and she lodged a complaint with the police.
The two defaulted court for the trial and they were issued with warrants of arrest.
