Thrashed man avenges on friend's wife

A Zvishavane man Abiot Sibanda (38) of Chemhere Village who was thrashed by a friend while drinking beer later vented his anger on friend's wife.
Sibanda is said to have teamed up with Austin Marume on the revenge mission.
Sibanda was dragged to court by Lilian Mapfumo to answer to assault and theft charges.
According to Masvingo Mirror, Sibanda beat up Mapfumo when Mapfumo failed to tell the whereabouts of her husband.
It is the State's case that on August 1, 2014 and at Chemhere Village, Sibanda proceeded to Mapfumo's house in search of Mapfumo's husband Tinevimbo Chumba who had earlier on assaulted him at a beer drink.
The accused allegedly went into the house and kicked the complainant once on the stomach and after realizing that things were getting nasty, she escaped and ran away, the publication reported.
When the complainant escaped the accused then took a solar panel and US$50 which was in the house before leaving the house.
Sibanda was however found guilty of assault and theft was jailed 10 months of which four months were suspended for three years and one month was suspended on condition of restitution so he will save an effective six months.
