... as there are claims that she far outweighs Grace Mugabe
Calls are being made for former Vice president Joice Mujuru to take President Robert Mugabe head on amid accusation on the head of state for allegedly destroying the country's economy and stifling political freedoms.
The media has been awash with reports that Liberation war icons, legislators and some within the security establish ment are pushing for ousted Vice President Joice Mujuru to lead the "original" Zanu-PF and take President Robert Mugabe head on so as to rescue long-suffering Zimbabweans from his "disastrous rule".
This come at a time when the Zanu-PF (People First) formation is at an advanced stage of forming structures and preparing for a potentially explosive showdown with the divided ruling party - Mujuru, whose nom de guerre was Teurai Ropa, has remained stoically silent leaving many guessing on her preparedness to lead the party that calls itself the original Zanu-PF.
Daily News reported that her silence has not dampened the spirits of her powerful and influential backers who told the paper that it is high time she emerges from the shadows and lead them.
Following the Daily News report on the issue social commentators on Facebook have added their voice calling for Mujuru to be vigilant in order to stop Mugabe's misrule considering that she is a prominent liberation war fight whom Mugabe can not dispute like he used to do with the MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai.
Mugabe used to say Tsvangirai ran away from the liberation struggle and can not take power from him.
Ndaba Nhuku said going by the rate leaders are being chucked out from the party allegedly for supporting Mujuru, it seems the party was hers!! Why then doesn't she do what everyone is now expecting of her?
Thulani Sonyboy said Mujuru will eventually do something when the right time comes, for now its ok to keep Bob guessing.
"The best time is when there is little time for Bob to stop her," he said. "it wil be folly to play games with Bob because the man is a blood maniac and Mujuru knows it, so i think she is alright for now. I also think the odds favours more to Mugabe as far as popularity is concerned in Zanu-PF."
Revesayi Mutede Makubalo said Mai Mujuru is a true leader, not the first lady Gracewho rounded up the nation insulting people.
Chris Harry Ndlovu said, "Maybe Mujuru just hasn't interpreted this support to mean what these guys, who have put her in the fore, intended for it to mean...or better yet she's not quite equal to the task!"
Chris Harry Ndlovu said sometimes one has to do away with procrastination and just go for it.
"People that support her will end up thinking they are being taken for a ride. She has to make her position well known, she owes it to herself, and her supporting cast, both big and small!," he said.
Mutede Makubalo said Mujuru wants to save the people because she has been kicked out?
"Do you understand why she is being kicked out? Something to do with leadership change. Who in Zimbabwe does not want MUGABE to go, honestly speaking, Jacqueline Joseph?" he said.
