Zanu PF factional fights and purging betrayal of voters

A Zanu PF supporter Isiah Jemwa has said the party's infighting and purging is a serious betrayal of the people who voted for the party in the 2013 elections.
"I am Zanu PF thus number 1. Number 2 the current factional fighting, purging taking place are a betrayal of the aspirations of the masses of Zimbabweans who voted Zanu PF into power," he said.
"My massage is targeted to the youths who are being used as canon fodder by the rich business persons fighting for the control of the revolutionary vehicle, Zanu PF. The fight has sucked in those above 50 years, who according to population statistics are a minority. Their significance is due to their access and control of state resources. On their own they can't vote each other into office without the support of the youths."
He said the youths and those below 50 years are the majority voters although they lack the economic muscle.
"ALL political players in Zimbabwe has manipulated the poverty of this majority group of voters by throwing a few crumbs of the cake which they will fight for tooth and nail. Real power eludes those who determine who is in power through their votes," he said.
"All leadership wrangling in our different party formations did not benefit the the youths but only those above 55 years. My call to the youths of Zimbabwe is wake up and shape your destiny now using your energy. Shun being used by aged politicians, whose major interest is a well catered retirement enjoying state resources with their families only."
He urged the people to ask themselves why MDC-T Morgan Tsvangirai is still a guest at a state house when he is no longer in government, the gravy train.
"We should make our leaders account for their actions which affects us now. We should not be silenced because of the argument that they formed the party or the battles they fought and win for us ages ago," he said.
"The battle front has since changed and new warriors are needed to take the trenches on the economic front line. We never elected our leaders to be rich so that they then use the wealth they have amassed to buy our silence or destroy us with beer and mbanje."
He said leaders must fear and respect people as their masters who voted them into positions of influence and authority.
"The truth will set us free and it must be said. I remain committed to Zanu PF, the vehicle of choice for a revolutionist and nationalist like me," he said.
