PhD student ditches snoring husband, no sex for 10 years

A Bulawayo woman studying for a  Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) is divorcing her husband of 29 years claiming she was fed up with his incessant  and loud snoring.

 She said the snoring is like a roaring tractor tilling on dry land.

 Nhlalwenhle Tshuma said her husband William Tshuma was depriving her of her sleep with his snoring which is disruptive.

The snoring also disrupts her studies and that of the children.

 She also said their marriage has suffered for a prolonged sex dry spell as they have gone for ten years without sex.

The pair has three children and married on October 17, 1989.

"ln addition to all these bad things, plaintiff has never even one day enjoyed peaceful sleep as the defendant snores like a roaring tractor ploughing on dry land. The noise disturbs everyone in the house."

The marriage has irretrievable broken down to the extent that they are preparing separate meals yet they stay under one roof.

Nhlalwenhle also claimed that her husband has never bought her a dress for her for the past 29 year.

She said she buys him many clothes.
