Tin Tin's advice to fellow women

RECENT media reports in which three Bulawayo women allegedly teamed up to assault two Namibian students accusing them of bedding a husband to one of them have irked TV and radio personality, Tinopona 'Tin Tin' Katsande.
The actress, who was once bashed by her lover over a minor misunderstanding, said women needed to be wise and look for ways to solve infidelity issues with their husbands instead of being cowards and looking for the weaker link – the man's mistress.
"Ladies in Zimbabwe, what's up with all these tabloid articles, Whatsapp videos and Facebook videos of women beating up other women because of a husband's infidelity?
"Women, where're we getting it wrong or rather where're we getting it confused?" questioned Tin Tin on her Facebook wall.
"Let's not be ignorant. It's your man who's stepping out so deal with him. We (wives) rush to look for blame when we should be looking for fault, so let's fix that instead."
Quick to defend herself, Tin Tin, who once dated a married man unknowingly, said: "I'll speak my truth. I'm 36 and married. I'm wiser now, but I too was once 22 and naive. I once dated a married man and, although unbeknown to me initially because, 'my boyfriend' lied to me that he was divorced, I still continued with the relationship – until his wife rocked up at my apartment one crisp Sunday morning and set the record straight (which mind you she did with calm and civility).
"From that day on, I made an extra effort to 'investigate' my potential suitors so as to avoid embarrassing and hurting myself as well as being a catalyst in another woman's misery," shared Tin Tin.
She said women in relationships/marriages needed to know that some men are not the saints they pretend to be.
"Men lie through their teeth when they've a target. Who doesn't know that? Some even argue that it's human nature for men to go 'hunting'. The art of persuasion is attractive to many if not all women, so when a man with 'the gift of the gab' starts his race he most often wins.
"So, wives, what to do when this disruptive beast of infidelity rears its ugly head in your relationship? Surely not to do nothing, but in the same token, surely do not attack 'the girlfriend'. That's just senseless."
The actress also urged young girls who are in the habit of dating married men to focus on their future.
"As for you my little sister who's the girlfriend/small house/side chic, I wish I could step with you into your future and show you just how amazing your life is going to be without someone else's husband.
"I wish I could give you a reality check and expose you to the hurt, betrayal and discontent you'll feel when the same is done to you. You dating a married man is one of the most s***** things you can ever do and it's really not worth it in the end."
