11 injured in accident

11 people were injured in a traffic accident involving  a haulage truck and a commuter omnibus just after Msasa bridge this morning.

Eyewitnesses say the accident occurred around half seven in the morning when a commuter omnibus coming from Ruwa rammed into a truck bound for Zimphos industries.

The area where the accident occurred is commonly referred to as 11 months after a vehicle that fell into a stream over the bridge in the 1990's was discovered 11 months later.

National police spokesperson, Senior Assistant Commissioner Charity Charamba, confirmed the accident adding that police are disheartened by the increase in accidents involving public service vehicles despite numerous campaigns for people to adhere to road rules.
the injured were taken to Parirenyatwa hospital.
