ZBC to cooperate with China Central Television CCTV on news resources

China Central Television (CCTV) is to cooperate with Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) on news resources.
Representatives from the two sides signed a cooperation agreement Monday morning in Harare.
Webster Shamu, Media, Information and Publicity Minister, met with the delegation of China's State Administration of Radio File and Television led by Li Wei, deputy director of the administration, and attended the agreement signing ceremony.
During the talk both sides highly evaluated their wide and profound cooperation in radio, film and television fields in recent years.
China is an all-round partner of Zimbabwe. The agreement reached will make both peoples better understand each other and allow the international world see a true Zimbabwe, said Shamu.
The Agreement has been described as a herald of good development within the two countries' media fraternity.
This was said by Media, Information and Publicity Minister, Webster Shamu at a banquet held in honour of the visiting Chinese Vice Minister of State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, Mr. Li Wei at a local hotel.
Shamu called on China and Zimbabwe to harness their strengths in the area of collecting and disseminating information.
ZBC News and Current Affairs General Manager, Tazzen Mandizvidza described ZBC's memorandum of cooperation with CCTV as a signal that the public broadcaster is on its way to asserting its presence as an international broadcaster.
The agreement will see the two broadcasters exchanging news and current affairs programmes in what experts say will be a defining stage in the Sino–Zim relations which continue growing from strength to strength.
