Man offers 50cents child maintainance

An Epworth vendor Tichaona Mungate shocked a court last week when he offered to pay 50 cents per day as maintenance for his child.
Mungate said its the amount he can afford.
He added that he rarely see's the child as Effort Tarunga is not keen in him interacting with the kid.
Effort was demanding $80 per month.
"I do not earn much and I most certainly cannot afford to pay the amount that she has claimed.
"I am a vegetable vendor who gets US$60 per month. Things are difficult and business is no longer booming like before.
"Another worrying thing is that she is claiming maintenance for a child she does not allow me to see" he said.
Magistrate Babra Mateko ordered Tichaona to pay $30.
