Man drags teen into bushes trys to rape her

A man from Mbembesi allegedly grabbed a 17-year-old girl and dragged her into the bush where he allegedly fondled her breasts and tried to remove her clothes before she screamed.
This was heard by the Bulawayo magistrate Tawanda Muchemwa when Mickey Mhlanga (22) appeared before him charged with indecent assault.
The matter was remanded to December 13.
The court was told that on October 30 this year at 8am Mhlanga met the girl who is a student at a local school when she was going to school and grabbed her by hand before dragging her into the nearby bush where he stripped off her blouse at the same time fondling her breast and trying to remove her skirt.
The girl screamed and he let her go but threatened to have sexual intercourse with her in the near future.
He also promised to wait for her until she returned from school. The girl later reported the abuse to her pastor who then reported to her parents and a police report was made leading to Mhlanga's arrest.
