Mthwakazi Republic Party has mocked the OK Grand Challenge for discriminating most of its clients across the country especial those in Matabeleland through centralizing the prize giving ceremony in Harare which becomes an advantage to those in the capital city who do not have to travel long distances to prospectively wait for their prizes.
MRP spokesperson Mbonis Gumbo said they have been observing for years that OK Grand Grand challenge draws are done every year and are meant to promote the company's brand by giving lucky customers prices such as fridges, stoves, cars etc.
He said the process seems to be discriminatory, tribal and and illegal.
"Why would OK Supermarkets only prioritize Harare customers, when they have customers all over Matabeleland? They even have a slogan that says "you have to be there to win it" which automatically disqualifies Matabeleland shoppers from ever winning prices from the company since most of them do not travel to Harare due to expenses need for accommodation, transport and food," Gumbo said.
"MRP would like to appeal to the company to respect our people, the people of Matabeleland. We have been sidelined a lot and we can't continue like that, we demand that OK Grand Challenge finals must now come to Bulawayo."
Several client of the National Chain store loses out every year because they fail to be part of the people at the Harare Grand draw ceremony.
