There was free live drama in Insuza recently when a 44-year-old man ran naked after being allegedly caught trying to rape his 5-year-old niece.

The man (name supplied), who resides in Maryland Village under Chief Deli took to his heels, running away from another man who had caught him trying to negotiate his sexual anaconda into the little girl's privates.

On 5 June, the uncle, after being accompanied by his niece to a grinding mill, supposedly decided to then grind his niece's sexual meal too at the expense of the little girl's future husband. Little did the uncle know that one of the villagers was keeping a close eye on all his moves. When the uncle-cum-rapist arrived at the grinding mill, he reportedly left the wheelbarrow that was carrying his grain at the mill and instructed his niece to follow him to a nearby bush, where the duo was to have some 'refreshments'.

One villager became suspicious, and followed the two from a distant. Upon reaching the heart of the bush, the sexually starved man sat down and ordered her niece to sit of his legs before he started fondling her private parts. He allegedly ordered the girl to remove her clothes and panties after which her made her lie facing upwards.

Without wasting much time, the uncle then removed his trousers while the little girl was watching helplessly and went on top of her. Before he could successfully insert his joystick into the girl's immature 'honey jar', the villager who was closely monitoring the saga drew closer to the scene intending to apprehend the uncle.

Before he arrived, the uncle took to his heels, grabbed his dangling weapon and ran as fast as his legs could allow. He was later apprehended by other villagers who then took him to the police station. He then appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Mr Shepherd Munjanja facing attempted rape charges. Mr Malvern Nzombe appeared for the State.
