BINGA - A man from Bunsiwa Village, Siachilaba gruesomely murdered his uncle and later hanged himself on Tuesday following a long standing battle over witchcraft which had spilt to both traditional and magistrate's courts, Chronicle reports today.
Chipo Mudenda, in his early 30s axed his uncle Robert Video Munkuli when several Sangomas allegedly told him that his long standing illness which would make him collapse every 27th day of the month was caused by his uncle.
Mudenda allegedly struck his uncle, believed to be in his 50s, after he refused to accompany him to the tsikamutandas to exonerate himself from the allegations.
He then took his life and his body was found hanging from a tree yesterday morning following the gruesome incident on Tuesday morning.
The Officer Commanding Hwange District Chief Superintendent Ben Antonio confirmed the incident.
The two whose dispute the local traditional court had failed to address were scheduled to appear a Binga Court on Tuesday
