A 34-YEAR-OLD man from Insuza district in Matabeleland North was last Thursday ordered to undergo mental examination by two psychiatrists after he was caught sexually abusing a donkey.
Misheck Ncube was not asked to plead when he appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Sibongile Msipa facing a charge of contravening the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act Chapter 9.23, "bestiality".
Prosecutor Charles Danda told the court that on November 13, an Insuza villager walking along a path through a bushy area witnessed Ncube sexually abusing the donkey.
He called other villagers to witness Ncube's act.
The villagers apprehended the half-dressed Ncube and handed him over to the police.
He was remanded in custody to November 28 for sentencing when psychiatrists' results would be out.
