Public Alert: Police in armed robber hunt

Police have issued a warning to the public that they should be on the lookout for a suspected armed robber who is on the prowl in Matabeleland North and Midlands provinces.

Carshony Munyamani, 40, originally from Manoti in Gokwe, is wanted in connection with two armed robberies he allegedly committed last year and last month.

Acting provincial spokesperson for Matabeleland North Province Sergeant Namatirai Mashona appealed to members of the public who may know Munyamani's whereabouts to notify the police.

Sgt Mashona said Munyamani raided a shop at Lusulu Business Centre in Binga on August 29, 2015 and got away with $3, 500. He allegedly hit another at Manoti Business Centre in Gokwe on March 29, this year and got away with $2, 500.

The cops said Munyamani's last known address was his rural home at Matanga Village, Chief Nemangwe in Gokwe.
His national identity number is 23-012533-X-23.

Sgt Mashona revealed that the suspect, is dangerous and armed with a gun.
