Mthwakazi Libetration Front has warned the government of Ziombabwe to never take tyhe issue of Gukurahundi which claimed the lives of more than 20 000 people in Matabeleland and Midlands for granted but make efforts to resolve it while there is time.

MLF spokesperson Ndabezinhle Fuyane said the suggestions by Zimbabwean Vice President Mnangagwa that the Gukurahundi victims need a proper reburial procession was a prudent idea if only was managed by people who meant it.

"The Zanu PF government should not take this issue for granted. People from Midlands and Matabeleland should not be taken for a ride by these traitors. It shall not go alone, remember that the atrocities not only happened but affected the region mentally and physically," he said.

"Some people were  left orphans, some crippled, some homeless and above all many were left traumatized. It is therefore not enough for simply a proper and decent reburial procession to be done, but above all there should be an official apology to the region to show remorse over the atrocities."

He said the world in general should know of this move.

"Let not Zanu PF come in a sheep skin to bribe the people of this region as if yikudla kwenkomo ensimini kamakhelwana, No! No! No! They now come seeking this people's votes in 2018. They pretend to have us in heart yet betraying this defenceless state. This is a clear sign of vote buying," he said.

"The issue has to be done professionally if ever it is a living thing. Mthwakazi people don't be fooled by such people. In case it's another strategy to attack this state, mind you the very perpetrators of those atrocities come back again in the name of proper reburial, who is going to identify those graves?"

He said at first they publicly denied  such inhumane acts and President Mugabe said it was a moment of madness.

"How dare they pretend to be sorrowful of their deliberate move. Who has bewitched this demonic Zimbabwe? Zimbabwe should not take people for granted. There should be a pathological exercise to link the victims to their members and the perpetrators should be identified, booked and taken for prosecution," he said .

"It has to be meaningful and perpetrators should face the law. The memories are still living but its been some decades ago, then there should be an element of prosecution to that effect!!! Let the dry bones live again azilwele. The acts were just unjustified hence the need for the people of Mthwakazi to be wise and request for the proper administration of this. We are fed up," he said.
