Mutare City Council town clerk Joshua Maligwa pledges 20 bags of cement to Devine Harvest Ministries at it's fourth Anniversary celebration  in Hobhouse yesterday.

Devine Harvest Ministries is a church which was started by Apostal George Hazvinavarwi four years ago.

While addressing congregants  Maligwa promised to give Devine Harvest Ministries a stand in order to promote God's work.

"When other churches will be given stands in 2018, Devine Harvest Ministries will have one. I will also buy 20 bags of cement to build the foundation", said Maligwa.

He also said that he was God sent town clerk who will end corruption and build Mutare so that it becomes a better city again.

"I was send by God to build  Mutare just like Jeremiah who was send to build walls of Jerusalem.

"I will not accommodate thiefs but will  give attention to people who want to build their community", he said.

The town clerk  denied being sent or represent any political party.

He said, "I am not a politician and  will never be a politician, all I want is to serve my community and my country."

Joshua Maligwa also praised the MDC T Clr John Nyamhuka of ward 17 Chikanga Hobhouse for working very hard in his ward.

"John is a hard working man who fears God. Don't be surprised if he becomes the next mayor of Mutare. He deserves that because he works for the community."

Joshua Maligwa is the former Rusape town Secretary who replaced Obert Muzawazi who quit the town clerk post last year after he was accused of corruption.
