The storm involving Bulawayo based Prophet Blessing Chiza, presently facing a public backlash for incorrectly predicting the Zimbabwean Warriors scoreline against Libya during the African Nations Championships, has taken yet another interesting turn.

Addressing his Faith in God (FIG) Eagle Life Assembly flock for the first time on Sunday since the inaccurate prediction, Prophet Chiza said he knew before hand that he was going to be caught up in the ongoing storm.

Contrary to fears that his followers could desert him due to the inaccurate Warriors' prophecy, the church was filled to the brim.

Prophet Chiza said he was shown in a prophecy he would be blamed for his earlier prediction, if the Warriors lost.

To illustrate his "prophecy" concerning the backlash, especially from the media, Prophet Chiza's media crew beamed a video of the proceedings of 19 May 2013, the day he revealed about the oncoming furore.

In the footage Prophet Chiza is quoted as saying, "I know there are some of you who see things, yet you don't see things properly. There are journalists here who are going to say things, yet they are not going to say good things about me and this church."

In the clip Prophet Chiza further says the storm will come to pass and his church will remain unfazed.

"I encourage you to pray and remain steadfast. I will be in all the newspapers, I will be on page one, two and even on page three. In some newspapers there would be full page articles with big pictures of me. I say this because I have been shown," Prophet Chiza is quoted in the clip.

After the clip, Prophet Chiza then said the recent backlash is in fact a fulfilment of the prophecy.

"It is not something new, we have seen it come," he added.

During interviews with Radio Dialogue, members of his congregation attested to having been present when Prophet Chiza made that prophecy about his involvement in the "storm."

On the eve of the match between Zimbabwe and Lybia, Chiza prophesied the Warriors would triumph 3- 0.

However, Zimbabwe went on to lose 4-5 on penalties to Libya and that loss brought Prophet Chiza into troubles with the masses.

It all started well for the prophet who correctly predicted Zimbabwe would beat Mali 2-1 in the quarterfinals. The prophet however came unstuck in predicting the semi-final result between the two underdogs at the tournament.

Quizzed on his prophesy soon after the Zimbabwe loss, he said: "I admit that I didn't see well but I have always said that my prophecies are not 100 percent accurate because I am not God."

Zimbabweans from across the world were unforgiving, labelling Chiza a false prophet.

Twitter and Facebook were equally unforgiving, with some even calling for Chiza to be arrested!
"This is scandalous. The police must arrest all these fake Pentecostal prophets. Starting with #CHIZA," said @AnesuMarshal on Twitter.

Another Zimbabwean on Twitter using the handle @October_Madness demanded: "Pastor Chiza, speak now before we ask you!!!!"
