The Guta RaMwari Religion bows in respect as we remember the late Evangelist Irvin Ncube. For we know, from God's wisdom, that the departure of the soul from the body is not an end, but a passage ordained within the divine order of life. The soul does not perish; it journeys beyond the earthly realm, ascending to the higher dwelling prepared for it, guided by the path shaped through its life in the flesh.
Thus, our sadness is not without understanding. Our sorrow is not for his being, but for the space his physical presence once filled among us. For in the spiritual realm, he is not asleep but continues in the fellowship of those of his kind who departed before him, rejoicing as they welcome him, even as we, in our humanity, feel the weight of his departure.
Evangelist Irvin Ncube, a devoted elder of the Guta RaMwari Religion, was born on the 8th of January 1952 at Solusi in the Umguza District, the firstborn among seven children. He was nurtured under the care of his mother, Ms Anna Ncube, and his stepfather, Mr Aaron Nleya. In the year 1975, he was joined in holy matrimony with Ms Lethiwe Maphosa, and God, in His grace, blessed their covenant with ten children. For over half a century, they remained steadfast, honouring their sacred vows, a testimony of enduring commitment and a union to which many aspire.
On the 18th of June 1986, amidst trials that burdened his household and stagnation that weighed upon his labours, he and his family were led into Guta RaMwari. Though he had served diligently in his work with the Bulilimamangwe Rural District Council, his efforts seemed unrewarded, and hardship encircled his home. Their union endured seasons of difficulty, including repeated miscarriages that tested their marriage. Yet, upon entering Guta RaMwari, the hand of God was revealed, and their lives began to turn toward restoration. Their suffering gave way to testimony, and their trials became the seed of unshakable faith.
From that moment, Evangelist Ncube devoted himself wholly to the work of salvation. With steadfast heart and unwavering conviction, he journeyed across Matabeleland South, labouring tirelessly, and became instrumental in the establishment of approximately 66 branches. He sought the weary, calling them into the peace and salvation that he had received. In 1997, he and his wife were commissioned into the spiritual duties, as Evangelist and Holy Messenger, respectively, setting them apart for the sacred duty of furthering the work of salvation.
In his later days, even as his body grew weary, he remained resolute. While visiting his family in Australia, illness came upon him, yet his vision endured. He longed to return there, seeing in that land further opportunity to extend the work of salvation and establish new branches. His heart was anchored in unity and love, for he believed that in the absence of love, there can be no alignment with God, for God is love.
He had recently returned to Zimbabwe from South Africa, where he had been receiving medical care, and on the 28th of April 2026, at 17:45, from his home in Plumtree, he departed his body into the spiritual realm. He leaves behind a legacy carried by his nine children, 26 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. His deepest desire for his family was to raise his children in righteousness, that they might walk uprightly before God.
We give glory and honour to God for the life of His servant, Evangelist Irvin Ncube, card number 3838. May the seeds of righteousness he planted bear fruit without end, and may the light he carried continue to shine among us, everlastingly.
