Whats up!

We wondered what went wrong in the area of HIV/AIDS education when we read that circumcised men don't think they need to wear a condom. We came across one more reason not to fly Air Zimbabwe when we heard about passengers sitting on each other's laps on a recent flight. We were curious to know 10 things about African women's leadership.

We found out that after months of deadlock, Dlamini-Zuma, South Africa's home affairs minister beat incumbent Jean Ping of Gabon, to lead the African Union, and becomes the first woman in that post. We were reminded that justice often triumphs even if its long overdue when we read that Jorge Rafael Videla, former Argentine dictator, has been jailed for 50 years for his role in an orchestrated plan to kidnap babies from leftist dissenters. We really liked Melinda Gates taking on the Vatican on the issue of expanding access to contraception.

We were blown away by these pictures of daredevil dancers in a one-off Olympics-inspired project in London. We were intrigued by an article on the staggering $9 billion black hair industry.
And, still on the same subject, did you know that American comedian Chris Rock made the film Good Hair after his five-year-old daughter asked him: "/Daddy, how come I don't have good hair/?"

Our advice . . . don't fake it, let it happen naturally.
