MLO grieved by the death of illegal miners

We at Matabeleland Liberation Organization (MLO), are greatly grieved by the death of the illegal miners who perished inside a Roodeport mine. We join the thousands of family members, friends and citizens of Matabeleland in mourning those who died.
We appreciate the efforts by the South African government to recover the bodies under difficult and dangerous conditions. We strongly condemn the Zimbabwe government's lack of interest; it is plain that the Zimbabwe government does not view the people who perished as its citizens.
It has not come forward with any assistance; it has not issued any statement consoling the families of these victims of its poor economic policies that have reduced a once flourishing economy to a basket case, consigning millions especially from Matabeleland to abject poverty. Its embassy in Pretoria has remained mum on the issue, a clear sign that the victims are viewed as foreign nationals by Zimbabwe.
Such tragedies will continue to be the lot of our people as long as Matabeleland is administered for Britain by the Zimbabwe Government. MLO implores all Matabeleland liberation formations to work harder to end the occupation of our country and usher in Independence, Freedom, Respect for Human rights and economic development that will put a stop to the desperate situation of our people.
WE SAY TO THOSE WHO DIED MAY THEIR SOULS REST IN PEACE ; YOUR DEATHS INSPIRE US WHO GOD HAS SPARED TO DOUBLE OUR EFFORTS TO FREE MATABELELAND SO THAT NON SHOULD BE VICTIM TO SUCH ACCIDENTS: LALANI NGOKUTHULA MAQHAWE.
We at Matabeleland Liberation Organization (MLO), join the family, friends and colleagues in mourning the sad, tragic and untimely death of Charles Mpofu who died last weekend due to an accident. Charles Mpofu was one of Matabeleland's finest sons. He was fearless in articulating the problems of Matabeleland in general and Bulawayo in particular. We at MLO will miss him. Matabeleland will miss him, Bulawayo will miss him and all fair minded people who knew him will miss him; may he rest in peace. LALA NGO KUTHULA QHAWE SO HLALA SIKUKHUMBULA
