Agent 00263: Did Mnangagwa lie?

23 Oct 2017 at 07:02hrs | Views
The Editor,

I am writing today to express my disgust at the people of Zimbabwe. We, all of us, are useless people and truly deserve the humiliation we are facing at the hands of a heinous 93 year old dictator.

Why? In the past few weeks we have been told that Vice President Emerson Mnangagwa identified Jonathan Moyo as agent 00263. We were not told that he Mnangagwa accused Moyo but identified him as agent 00263.  Moyo had sophisticated gadgets he brought into the politburo to record the proceedings.

Yet Moyo is roaming the streets today threatening our lives. He is freely roaming the streets; agent 00263 is on our streets yet we do not have a problem about it. The people of Zimbabwe don't care, the president doesn't care, and the army doesn't care.

It is upsetting that a vendor is send to jail for a very long time for trying to make a living by selling tomatoes on the street yet agent 00263 is roaming the streets with all his gadgets intact.

What really has happened to us? As a people why are we not demanding justice? I understand Mugabe is ruthless but this is a serious case that must be above Mugabe; this is a security threat to our country and yet we the people don't seem to care; the president does not care; the security forces do not care. What is going on? Please someone help me understand. Ray Choto and the late Mark Chavhunduka were severely tortured for writing a piece of news deemed a security threat. Moyo is identifiable as agent 00263 and no one is lifting a finger.

Do we still have an army in the country? Please this is disgusting. Moyo did not deny that he was agent 00263 and yet the army is mum. His gadgets are intact. What is going on? Can the army tell us that they investigated Mnangagwa's allegations and there was no case? If Mnangagwa lied can the army or police come out and tell us that? We need answers.

Sincerely,

Sam Wezhira
