PREMIERSHIP pace-setters Highlanders are bracing for a hostile reception as they roll into the capital today for a Castle Lager League clash against Monomotapa at Rufaro.
Bosso shot to the top of the log table during midweek after a sensational victory 1-0 over Hwange at the Colliery and they are on the road for another match.
Harare giants Dynamos will play at the same venue tomorrow when they host Shabanie.
Highlanders coach, Kevin Kaindu, said his charges will be battling from two fronts when they play Monoz.
From one end Bosso will be playing against Monomotapa while one the other end the Bulawayo giants face a potentially hostile atmosphere.
"We are going to play Monomotapa and we know that it will not be an easy game in the capital city.
"As a team we know what to expect. The hospitality from the Harare teams has not been so pleasant on our side," said Kaindu.
Bosso were last in Harare during week 19 when they played to a goalless draw against Harare City at Rufaro.
After the match on August 25, Kaindu was left fuming as he alleged that Harare City marshals denied him entry into the stadium before the match.
The Zambian coach claimed that the Sunshine Boys asked him to produce positive identification and only allowed Kaindu after more than 20 minutes.
As if that was not enough, Kaindu alleged that Harare City sprinkled some white substance outside the Bosso dressing room in a suspected case of juju.
Now Kaindu is ready for another potentially explosive showdown in Harare.
"Physically and psychologically, we are prepared and hope for the best," said Kaindu.
Highlanders are not taking Monomotapa lightly, especially after Monoz were shocked 3-2 by bottom placed Quelaton in Luveve on Wednesday.
Monomotapa are third on the log with 40 points, 13 behind leaders Highlanders who are on 53.
Although Highlanders have reclaimed the lead, Kaindu is saying the league championship race is still wide open for now. In their first meeting at Barbourfields in May, Bosso won 3-0 with Milton Ncube, Graham Ncube and Peter "Rio" Moyo scoring the goals.
But now the ace in the Bosso pack is Masimba Mambare.
The former Motor Action striker had scored crucial goals in the last two matches and his fine performance has earned him a call to the national team.
Monomotapa have also been tricky opponents and are capable of stealing at least a point from this match.
The side beat Hwange 3-0 in their last match at home and could enjoying rare support from Dynamos fans who will form an alliance to put pressure on Bosso.
Across town at Gwanzura, Blue Rangers face Gunners in a relegation battle. Both Rangers and Gunners are deep in the relegation zone and three points from this encounter will go a long way to ease their worries. The two teams are all coming from defeats in their midweek matches and cannot afford neither cannot afford to lose a point.
In Bulawayo, Quelaton who have all but been relegated face a rejuvenated CAPS United at Luveve tomorrow while Chicken Inn are in Mutare for a date against Buffaloes.
