Bosso wins again
24 Aug 2014 at 21:24hrs | Views
Norman Mapeza got a rude awakening at the hands of Bulawayo giants Highlanders at Mandava Stadium. Barely had he taken his seat, Platinum's former striker Charles Sibanda struck the priceless goal for Bosso, his 12th of the season in the 3rd minute, and one that would secure maximum points and second spot.
It was Bosso's third 1-0 win, having beaten Shabanie Mine in the first round of the Chibuku Super Cup and Triangle last Thursday.
FC Platinum 0-1 Highlanders (C. Sibanda 3')
Triangle (Tonha 30') 1-2 Dynamos (Mbara P 56', Pakamisa 69')
Hwange (Marime P 57', G. Zulu 87') 2-0 Chiredzi
Caps United (Muchenje) 1-0 Chapungu
Buffaloes (Muzokomba, Takunda) 2-2 Black Rhinos (Chakanyuka, Marova)
Bosso Player Ratings as seen by Bosso LIVE
ARIEL 7Pulled off a couple of fantastic saves more so when we were under siege in the dying stages of the game. Commanded his area well & improved ball distribution.
MDZINGWA 7Great game at right back by Tsiba. Overlapped well but needs to deliver pinpoint accurate crosses. He was unyielding in defence with awesome tackles.
KANGWA 6Back from suspension to take his place at left back. His crosses were not in range as well as they either went behind or slammed against his marker. Great understanding with Rahman
FAZO 5Was a ball of nerves as he twice as the last man miscued his clearances only to be saved the blushes by Ariel. He has a good ariel presence and he dealt with anything that was flighted up.
INNO 6Good recovery rate by the captain. Twice the FC Platinum attackers got the better of him but he intercepted the goal bound efforts with good reflexes. He has lost pace.
FELIX 9*Five star performance by Felix. He bossed the midfield and intercepted a lot of passes by FC Platinum, shielding the defence splendidly. Kept the dangerous Thabani Kamusoko in his back pocket.
HILLARY 7The double anchoring by Hillary & Felix employed by Kaindu seems to what the doctor ordered & is the main reason for the recent turn in fortunes. Hillary played well once again & did most of the donkey work in midfield
JOSTA 8Josta was magnificent & a joy to watch with some breathtaking passing. Was heavily involved in setting up the solitary goal when he threaded through an exquisite pass to Njabulo. Created further chances for his teammates which were not taken.
RAHMAN 7Back from a long lay off & he put in a decent shift. Wonderful & fancy footwork to outfox the opposition. Operated on both flanks interchanging with Josta. Was the victim of a crude tackle early in the second half . Tried to shake it off but he was substituted.
NJABULO 6Laid a sitter for Charles to bury the effort. He was lively earlier on, flicking & creating chances for others. He needs to better position himself at times to attempt at goal.
CHARLES 7Scored a beauty when he thumped an unstoppable shot from close range. Was caught offside on more than five occasions. He missed a guilt edged chance in the second half when he shot wide with only the keeper to beat. Was a constant menace upfront & was the most delighted at full time.

MACHAZANE 6Exerted good pressure when he came on but to no avail. A bright prospect.
MUNAWA 5Returning to action after an injury layoff had an uneventful game. Stuck to basics
NDABACame in late into the game & never really got stuck in.
FANS 10Great support from the away fans who outnumbered and drowned out the hosts with loud singing. A disciplined lot.
