Bosso go to battle crippled

HIGHLANDERS will be without two key players, striker Obidiah Tarumbwa and defender Erick Mudzingwa, for Sunday's Easycall Cup final against Chicken Inn through suspension. Tarumbwa and Mudzingwa have been vital in Bosso's resurgence and their unavailability could hit them hard. They both picked up yellow cards in the quarter-final and semi-final matches against FC Platinum and Dynamos.
Tarumbwa will consider himself unlucky as he got one of his yellow cards against Dynamos after he had been substituted. He got it after he had a go at Dynamos' striker Rodrick Mutuma for spitting into the face of Bosso's Ralph Matema on his way off the pitch after receiving a red card.
"Please note that the player(s) listed hereunder have each accumulated two (2) yellow cards and will be suspended for one match respectively. The said player(s) shall not participate in their club's EasyCall Cup final match scheduled for the 13th December 2015," reads a PSL statement.
Without Tarumbwa, who scored Highlanders' first goal in their 2-1 victory over Dynamos, Bosso will bank on Matema and the league's top goal scorer Knox Mutizwa. Mutizwa has been undergoing trials at South African PSL side Bidvest Wits and is expected to arrive today for the final.
Either Honest Moyo or Teenage Hadebe will fill in for Mudzingwa to partner Felix Chindungwe in central defence. Mudzingwa was in top form against Dynamos, giving strikers Takesure Chinyama and Mutuma no room to manoeuvre.
