New Highlanders coach Erol Akbay yesterday announced his squad for the 2016 Premier Soccer League season with most of the regular players retained.

The 29-member squad also accommodated five juniors as required under the PSL statutes for every team to promote junior players.
These included Bukhosi Moyo, Nkosana Ndlovu, Prince Dube, McCarthy Dube and Thembalethu Mthunzi.
Some of the players that the club retained include: Eric Mudzingwa, Ralph Matema, Felix Chindungwe, Honest Moyo, Simon Munawa, Honest Moyo, Douglas Sibanda, King Nadolo, Knox Mtizwa, Bruce Kangwa, Ariel Sibanda, Gabriel Nyoni, Njabulo Nyoni, Rahman Kutsanzira, Godfrey Makuruse and Tendai Ngulube.
Also making part of the 2016 Bosso roster is Benson Phiri, Julius Daudi, Tendai Ndlovu, Adrian Sila, Danmore Chikwanha, Kasimero Chimbadzwa, Prosper Matutu and Brian Banda.
The Bulawayo giants lost a number of players as Obadiah Tarumbwa, Teenage Hadebe, Nqobizitha Masuku, Valentine Ndaba and Mthulisi Maphosa who were influential in last season's campaign which was largely not convincing.
However, Akbay is still convinced that his final team can do the job for him, particularly on Sunday where Bosso renews its rivalry with Dynamos in the Bob 92 Cup final first leg at Barbourfields Stadium.
He said they were still looking for a player to fill the last slot, but indications are that it has been left vacant to accommodate injured right-back Webster Chingodza, who still has a running contract with the club.
