The judgement for the abandoned Premier Soccer League match between Highlanders FC and Dynamos FC has been released.
The partisan Premier Soccer League Disciplinary Committee mainly staffed with people from Mashonaland and Midlands found Highlanders FC guilty of causing the abandonment of the match.
The match has been awarded to Dynamos FC on a 3-0 score line.
Further, Highlanders FC were fined a sum of four thousand dollars ($4000), which fine together with the cost of the hearing shall be paid by the 31st of July 2017.
In a letter sent to the club before the jugdement was made, the PSL said, "In terms of order 31 of the Castle Lager Premier League Rules and Regulations, it is an Act of Misconduct on the part of the club where … its supporters misbehave in any manner whatsoever, inside and outside a ground before, during or after a match, no matter on which ground the match is played ...""
The soccer body noted that some acts of misbehavior included the "invasion or attempted invasion of the field of play, save for the reasons of crowd safety … Causing abandonment or attempting to cause the abandonment of a match.
"… Throwing or attempting to throw missiles, bottled and other objects, whether potentially harmful or dangerous or not, onto the pitch or any person."
It said the supporters' behavior amounted to "acts of violence or attempted acts of violence …"
Bosso, as Highlanders are affectionately known among their fans, have another pending case of flouting PSL regulations following a similar incident when the club clashed against FC Platinum last week.
Bosso is reported to have launched an appeal against the unreasonable verdict by the Chiyangwa, Sibanda influenced Committee.
