Musona is fit to play the (Zim vs Mali) game

Zimbabwe Warriors general Manager Shariff Mussa has revealed that Zimbabwe's top player Knowledge Musona is fit to play in the make or break African Cup of Nations qualifier against Mali at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday, RadioVop reported on Friday.
Mussa said Musona who missed out two training sessions on Wednesday has fully recovered and team doctor Nick Munyonga has given the green light for the player to be selected for Sunday's match should the coaches feel he deserves a place.
'There is nothing much to worry about now. The doctors have cleared Musona to play. We hope nothing happens between now and the match day on Sunday,'said Mussa.
There were concerns that Musona could miss his third successive game for the Warriors after failing to play against Cape Verde and Mali due to the same injury problem but Mussa says Musona is ready to play adding that it is now up to the coachers to decide whether he starts on Sunday or not.
The South African based striker has scored the only goal that Zimbabwe can boast of in the run up to the 2012 African Cup of Nations after scoring in his debut in the one-all draw against Liberia in Zimbabwe's first game in Monrovia.
Musona's recovery means coach Norman Mapeza has all his three top strikers, Musona, Nyasha Mushekwi and Edward Sadomba available for the match and the coach hinted that he might be forced to start all the three of them in search of the much needed goals.
The match against Mali will set the tone for the remainder of the Warriors campaign and any other result apart from victory on Sunday will mean elimination from the finals to be held in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
The Warriors failed to qualify for the 2008 and 2010 Nations Cup having qualified in 2004 and 2006 under the guidance of local coaches Sunday Chidzambwa and Charles Mhlauri and Mapeze is under pressure to deliver.
The Warriors have two points only from three matches, compared to Mali's on six points and Cape Verde's seven points. The team still has another home match against Liberia before travelling to Cape Verde to wind up their 2012 Nations Cup route.
