Caps 1 - 0 Dynamos
Caps United finally remembered how to win when they edged Dynamos this after noon.
Dynamos started with Mukandi in goals. Moyo, Ndlovu, Mbara and Mushure made the makeshift back four. Magorimbo took the D-link position while Mukanga and Rusike were weighing in as attacking central midfielders.
Machapa and Mabvura attacked from the wings. Simba was a lone gun man.
Caps United started the game with guns blazing with Phiri pressing Moyo the Dynamos right back. Caps exerted pressure on that right wing. With Mukanga out of sort Caps threatened to run the show.
Magorimbo and Ndlovu were the only players recognizable and Rusike fighting a lone battle. Fiyado, Chungwa and Muchenje took turns to miss the chances Caps were creating.
In the 37th minute finally a defender showed the caps forward how it is done. A square ball was nicely set up for Dominic Mukandi near the d area. Mukandi made a first time connection and well placed shot that beat his Name-sake in Dynamos goal all systems out.
Caps continued to probe Dynamos with Dynamos midfield clue-less. Dynamos managed to go for the breather one-nil down.
After the breather it took Mutyakureva (stand in coach) 5min to effect a game changing substitution. He made a double sub and in come Pakamisa and Sekete for Machapa and Mukanga and Dynamos began to dominate.
Caps relied on counters. Moyo still was Dynamos weaklink wide on the right.
Dynamos dictated the second half but as always the forwards shot or headed weakly at Muchambo in Caps Goals.
Makapekepe started to be disparate and resorted to slowing down play. Sekete should have scored but he opted for power instead of precision. His option for power sent the ball into the stands
A late introduction of Chitiyo for Mabvura never had a impact to the score line
So fate would leave Caps to record a famous win.
