Competition:     England Premier League

Arsenal are only two points behind league leaders Manchester United, and will look to continue their title challenge with a home win over struggling Wigan Athletic. Wigan are currently in the relegation zone, but even winning one point could be an important boost to their relegation fight.

Arsenal are looking to extend a five game unbeaten streak in Premier League play, and should be able to field striker Marouane Chamakh, who is recovering well from a slight knock. Denilson will receive a late fitness test on a hip injury.

Thomas Vermaelen and Manuel Almunia are among a number of long term injury absentees for the Gunners.

Franco Di Santo could start up front for Wigan, after making his return from a long term injury off the bench in last week's 1-1 draw against Fulham. Manchester United loanee Tom Cleverley is out with injury, while Chris Kirkland, James McCarthy and Victor Moses are all on the injury list for the Latics.
