Rubber Products property worth $64 000 attached over workers pay

Property worth over 64 000 has been attached from Rubber Products Manufacturers Private Limited situated in the Belmont area in Bulawayo for the payment of salaries and allowances of sixteen workers.
Represented by Zimbabwe Chemical, Plastics and Allied Workers Union workers took the company for arbitration after they were fired from work.
The arbitrator awarded them to be paid $64 524, 58 before their award was registered by the High Court.
They later acquired a writ of execution granting them to recover their payment through the attachment of company property.
"You are required and directed to attach and take 8into execution the movable/ immovable property belonging to Rubber Products Manufacturers Pvt Ltd no 1A Dunlop Road Belmont Bulawayo the mentioned respondent of the same cause to realize the sum of $64 524, 58 being the amount which the applicants recovered by judgment of this court order 22 September 2015 and other charges of 5the applicants in the said suit, to be hereafter duly taxed to law besides all your costs incurred," reads their writ.
Bulawayo High Court Judge Justice Nokuthula Moyo on September 22 ordered the company to pay the workers the amount started and the cost of the suit.
Sheriff of Zimbabwe's attachment sheet, action date being November 30 2015, states that the company property worth the amount have been attached and are awaiting disposal as the company had previously promised to settle the amount so as to get back its property.
The inventory of the attached property states that boiler makers, welding machines, drilling machines, Electrical Press, compressor pumps, all electrical motors to mention but a few were attached.
Cost of total property attached exceeded the amount meant to settle the arrears as it worth $67 841, 80 while the order granted the workers to attach $64 524, 58.
