On a Facebook post the father of the child Admire Kasi wrote: "It's a boy. Addy (Jr), our first boy born May 5 2012. Blessed be the Lord."
In response to a congratulatory message Ivy wrote: "It's a blowing feeling. God has remembered me totally."
Ivy Kombo is one of Zimbabwe's most successful female singers. The gospel star, propelled to national stardom by hits such as Sammy Joe and Handidzokere Shure, has had a fairly tumultuous private life. She is now based in Luton, England, with her husband, Bishop Admire Kasi.
According to a source close to the Kombos, who declined to be named, Ivy has a newly-born baby.
"It's true she has a bouncing baby boy, and the baby was born a few weeks ago. I think it is all over the websites," said the source.
In an interview Ivy Kombo said she was happy to have a baby boy.
"I am really elated and I thank the Lord for the blessing of my first baby boy," she said.
The gospel artist, who is now referred to as Prophetess Kombo-Kasi, joins her husband Pastor Kasi in the church's rank and file.
Her new church position, which has been indicated at her websites and social networks, comes hard on the heels of her controversial marriage to her former guardian Kasi, shortly after her marriage to Edmore Moyo.
The two were defrocked by the ZAOGA church following revelations of their secret liaison.
Some years back, Kasi insisted his affair with Kombo started only after her "marriage failed", avoiding a question if Kombo was divorced when they got together.
Kasi has three children, Tinodaishe, Linda and Lorraine with ex-wife Sarah, who all refused to live with him, accusing him of betraying their mother.
Kombo, who split from her husband, Moyo, had a daughter Sammy-Joe.
Sammy-Joe's paternity was a source of much gossip in Zimbabwe, but Kombo was intent on putting the rumours to rest and revealed that Moyo - and not Kasi, or the late South African gospel singer Vuyo Mokoena - is the father.
Kasi had confirmed being the father of Sammy-Joe.
