Irate Bulawayo fans besieged Rainbow Hotel on Tuesday to demand refunds on advance tickets for the Kalawa Homecoming party.
That was after news spread through the city that Babes Wodumo and Big Nuz's Mampintsha 'missed' their flight to Bulawayo.
Organisers saved a potentially explosive situation as they agreed to give them part of their money.
Those who paid $15 for general advance tickets got $5 back.
Advance ticket prices were also slashed from $15 to $10.
Show organiser, Vusumuzi Siqalaba is quoted saying Babes was at a show in East London and could not make it to the King Shaka International Airport in Durban on time.
The Kalawa stable's shows and artistes are now a permanent fixture on the country's local entertainment calendar since director and co-owner Oscar "Oskido" Mdlongwa introduced his homecoming show in Bulawayo several years ago.
The homecoming show is widely regarded as the city's premier entertainment gig as it draws large crowds with some coming from as far afield as Victoria Falls, Hwange, Kwekwe, Gweru,Gwanda Beitbridge, Zvishavane and Masvingo, among other centres.
