Dj Rabaaz says anyone connected to the internet from any device such as cellphone, computer, etc can download a free bonus instrumental track#10 Tariro (Hope) off his album using the above link.
The full album costs less than USD1, i.e. 98cents to download and you pay via a very secure environment powered by PayPal. Dj Rabaaz is encouraging fellow Zimbabwean musicians to also sell their music online because the costs involved there are very minimal. ‘Costs such as distribution, printing of CD's and labels are completely eliminated and this is passed on to the audience hence I can afford to sell my album at less than USD1', says Dj Rabaaz. ‘In such a diverse market whereby people have gone ‘mobile', we ought to serve this huge potential market by bringing convenience onboard hence initiative online music stores such as www.beats98.com. You will find out that certain households these days no longer keep cd players, so we are living in changing times that we must respond to as artists', Dj Rabaaz added.
The gospel CD album comes with a new beat and a theme for repentance and comprises tracks; Tariro (Hope), Nguva ndiyoyi (The time is now), Makomborero (Blessings), Hakuna (No-one like Jesus), Tendeuka (Repent), Muchato (Wedding), Makanaka Mwari (God you are good), Tambira Jesu (Dance for Jesus), Kudenga (Heaven) and lastly the bonus instrumental track for Tariro (Hope) that is available for free download online. Anyone who listens to this album will discover a new music rhythm hence we asked Dj Rabaaz about his musical background. He says he has been around in the music industry for more than 15 years ago and has played as a drummer with various groups/artists such as Mambakwedza Band, formed at Zimbabwe College of Music, Noel Zembe, King Isaac, Bulk Spirits, Mozambiquean duo of Theresa & Awendile of the Musikana fame, just to mention a few.
