Nostalgic and missing those beautiful Mathonto days? No need to worry because here comes another son of the soil, fondly known as Mawiza to his multitude of fans. Listening to his music from afar, one would be forgiven to think that Mathonto has resurrected and are in the house.

Mawiza, born Wisdom Nyathi, comes from Kezi, Seula to be specific. He comes from a happy family of nine children and is the seventh born. He grew up in Victoria Falls where he completed his 'O' Levels. His family took him to church, the Twelfth Apostolic Church when he was still a toddler. There, he learnt the values of respect and humility, and also learnt to sing spiritual songs. But his is gospel with a difference – Disco Gospel Music.

Unlike most singers I have met, here is a young man who is down to earth, humble, and full of respect. And unlike many young men, especially musicians, he is of sober habits and knows what he wants to do with his rare talent.

Mawiza started singing in 2014. He has two CDs and one DVD, which are available when you contact him or his brother, Mthulisi. All his songs aim to build umuntu, imizi, isigaba and the nation at large. He also sings to comfort or console those in distress. All this you can get from his second CD, Poison.

Mawiza would love to do some collaboration with established singers like Wiseman Sibanda, or Mathonto itself. And he is available to play at your party or wedding, concert, fund-raising function or funeral services. Or you need back ground music to your movie, play or drama? No mcimbi is too big or too small. But, rest assured, his music will entice you and your friends to get up and dance.

Mthwakazi, here is another of your brilliant and very talented children. He needs our support in order to grow and groom more talent for us. Why not connect with him on his Face Book page, Mawiza Mdluli, or call him on his mobile on +27 71 999 0801.

Ngiyabonga mina!
