The Zimbabwe Achievers Awards South Africa 2015 gala dinner

Zimbabwe Achievers Awards, headline sponsored by MoneyGram were truly a celebration of extraordinary Zimbabweans' positive impact on the South African economy, entertainment industry, business, media and sport.
MoneyGram Regional Director, South and East Africa Anton Luttig reinforced that MoneyGram is proud to be the headline sponsor of Zimbabwe Achievers Awards SA event this year. The prestigious event is hosted by Moving Ads South Africa and facilitated by actor/ comedian Leroy Gopal style and laughter. Moving Ads Acting Managing Director Tinashe Jacha and ZAA UK C.E.O Peter Soko, respectively embraced the sponsors, honoured all participants and dignitaries.
The awards seek to recognise Zimbabweans who have pushed the limits, against all odds, to raise the Zimbabwean flag high and do both themselves and their fellow countrymen proud.
The 15 categories were celebrated on the night with notable winners being Luthuli Dlamini who walked away with the People's choice award, followed by Darryl Nyamutsamba who was recognized as the Young Achiever of the year. The Female entrepreneur of the year award was taken by Nomalanga Sitole while Isaac Chalumbira was awarded with the Male entrepreneur of the year award. Brian Kudakwashe Sango received the professional of the year award. One of Kaizer Chief's players, Willard Katsande was awarded with the Sports Personality of the year award. In honor of their first ZAA Media Personality of the year award recipient, the late Simba Mhere, an award called 'The Simba Mhere Media Personality Award' was given to Tatenda Kamera. Well known musician in South Africa Berita Khumalo took the music artist of the year award and Ngugi Velly Vere won the coveted personality of the year award. Business of the year award was given to JM Busha, while Prof. Vusumuzi Sibanda was awarded with Academic excellence of the year award. Community champion of the year award went to Sibonile Chimanikire (Bonnie) and Community Organization of the year award was taken by Youth Village Zimbabwe. A unique award titled 'Friend of Zimbabwe award' was awarded to Casper Nyovest (Refiloe Maele Phoolo). Themba Ndlovu was honoured with the lifetime achievement award on a night filled with the celebration for Zimbabwe's best and brightest.
The 160 strong attendance was also treated to entertainment from legendary musician Themba Ndlovu and other supporting acts such as Celscius and nominated artist and gospel singer Tsitsi Kudita.
