More than 30 students from the Department of English and Communication at Solusi University could not contain their Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) on the Amagugu experience.
In a quest to immerse themselves in the Amagugu cultural experience the English majors spent the weekend of 14 - 16 July 2017 at the Center in a camp-out experience that was described by some of the students as 'insightful and liberating'.
During their two-nights stay, the students enjoyed the quiet of rural life as they had time to bond and know more about each other. Their program was packed with team building exercises which included mountain climbing, traditional games and a bonfire.
The trip was educational as the students toured the murals to understand more about African culture, philosophy and worldview. There was also a tour of rock paintings and traditional kitchens in the surrounding villages.
We invite other groups to try out our facilities for camping and team building exercises.
