Scores of pupils at Sizane High School who are due for final examinations on Monday could be stranded as most classrooms had their roofs blown off on Saturday.
Metal work and food and nutrition sections were among the affected during Saturday rains.
School headmistress Debora Manyoba expressed concern but but said she was 'happy' that the destruction occurred during weekend.
"It is unbelievable, the whole school was badly affected but I am grateful that this took place during the weekend when no classes or activities were taking place because our pupils might have been injured,".
She added "We have final examinations on Monday for the food and nutrition classes and we do not know what we will do as the block was destroyed. There are stoves and other equipment that have been exposed."
Heavy downpour lashed most parts of the city.
