The self-styled prophet Alfred Mupfumbati, commonly known as Madzibaba Mateo has threatened to send snakes to attack Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority officials if they attempt to capture the 'spiritual snakes', H-Metro reported.
"I also have issues with Parks authority who claim that I was committing a crime and all I can tell you if they come at my shrine while I'm performing my rituals, I have powers to command the snakes to attack them.
"Vakauya chero vari five, vanogona kuti rapata vese kufa apa, ungati zvinhu zveuroyi woti inyoka dze Parks, ngavambozviedza vaone, vanofa vese," Mupfumbati said.
The prophet claims to be the one who assisted the man who features in the videos and pictures dragging two pythons along Gatawa Street in Budiriro.
According to H-Metro, the snakes are alleged to have been haunting the man after being left in his custody by his late father.
Parks officials said they are investigating the issue surrounding a man captured dragging two pythons in a video that has gone viral.
