MRP distances self from Khupe

Nthwakazi Republic Party has distanced itself from having participated in the MDC-T rally addressed by Thokozani Khupe on Sunday in Bulawayo.
This came in the work of media reports that some activists from the party among other political parties were present.
"We woke up yesterday, the 19th of March to the social media buzz on the participation of MRP in Dr Thokozani Khupe's rally. Although we are conveniently positioned to defend our own from Mthwakazi, we have never formerly engaged Khupe or taken a decision to meddle ourselves in shameful MDC issues," said Ackim Mhlanga.
"We are shocked to learn from the media that our party was part of the Khupe rally. MRP is not in the political arena for election victory but for the freedom of Mthwakazi. We have nothing in common with MDCT which we believe helped facilitate the ZANU PF agenda in administering the objectives of the 1979 grand plan."
"We also note with great concern from today's Newsday paper where MDCT Provincial Spokesperson, Felix Magalela Sibanda called us bogus. Shameless Magalela who, for several times Nicodemusly engaged us, on the likelihood of our party supporting the MDC Alliance has the guts to call us a tribal grouping."
He said they have never bootlicked anyone from Harare, or any of the Gukurahundi tainted parties, hell bent in destroying the Mthwakazi nation.
"We take Magalela as a bitter man and not to be taken seriously. The old man uses his stomach to think and is barking for his lunch from Harare. We are aware of the intentions of the ruling party and the Chamisa led MDC faction, to trivialise the cause of Mthwakazi. MRP is the party for the people of Mthwakazi and no amount of propaganda will ever derail that," he said.
"Mthwakazi is a nation that covers the territory under the jurisdiction of King Mzilikazi. It is worth noting that MRP is a political party within Mthwakazi, advocating for the political freedom of our people. Not all Mthwakazi activists are MRP. We distance our brand from this alleged association with Dr Khuphe's MDC, and reiterate that our party does not identify with parties that push a nationalistic agenda. We are fighting for the independence of the territorial and economic independence of Mthwakazi."
