Vice President Joice Mujuru's motorcade on Wednesday caused an accident in Bulawayo as the Zanu-PF official visited the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair.
The accident occured at the intersection of Leopold Takawira and Robert Mugabe way.
Mujuru's motorcade was coming from the Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo International Airport headed for the fair.
At the intersection, two vehicles, an RVR and Mercrdes Benz were approaching from Leopold Takawira when suddenly one of the police motorbikes accompanying Mujuru passed.
Because the robots on the Takawira side was green, the driver of the RVR applied emergency brakes bringing the vehicle to an abrupt halt.
The driver of the Benz failed to react on time resulting in their vehicle smashing on the rear of the RVR.
No one was injured.
Meanwhile, one other police bikers assaulted a pedestrian who tried to cross the road in front of Mujuru's motorcade.
