Man stabbed to death in revenge attack on Christmas eve

A 39-year-old man, Nqobizitha Mazibuko, tragically lost his life in a violent revenge attack on Christmas Eve. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. along a dust road leading from Madigane Business Centre in Madigane Village, under Chief Sogwala, Midlands Provincial Police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed.
According to police reports, Mazibuko was confronted by three men, identified as Thabani Mpofu, Nqabutho Bhebhe, and Nkosilathi, who accused him of a past assault. The confrontation escalated when Mazibuko attempted to flee, but the suspects chased him down and fatally stabbed him.
An eyewitness reportedly tried to intervene during the attack but was unsuccessful in stopping the suspects.
The suspects fled the scene, leaving Mazibuko lying on the road. His lifeless body was discovered around 5 a.m. on Christmas Day.
Police from Maboleni attended the scene and have since launched an investigation into the case. Insp Mahoko appealed to the public for any information that could lead to the suspects' arrest.
"We urge members of the public with information regarding this case to come forward and assist the police. Violence should never be used as a way of resolving disputes," said Insp Mahoko.
