In a tweet just after President Robert Mugabe proclaimed 31 July as the election date, Nhlanhla Dube '@Mdcspokesperson' the MDC Spokesman tweeted "Election date has been proclaimed. We are in full election mode. Tonosangana kuma Vhoti."
Which suggests that the MDC was waiting for this day and will participate in the 31 July election.
Dube added: "The election date proclamation is a clear case of when we thought we knew the exam answers, the headmaster changed the question paper..."
"We warned many times that cohabiting and sharing Monday tea with Robert Mugabe would have nasty results.......," added Dube.
Dube also hit out at the MDC-T for assaulting journalists, he tweeted "Political parties can not, shld not & must nt think that journos shld only see & write the good & ignore the bad."
To confirm this, Samkeliso Ndlovu '@samybells' tweeted: "Prof Welshman Ncube says he is on full election mode" which was retweeted by Professor Welshman Ncube himself.
One commentator @NqabaNdlovu said Tsvangirai is clueless, he tweeted: "He may hold the key but Bob has changed the locks," in reference to comments by Tsvangirai that he holds the key to Zimbabwe elections.
However, MDC-T leader Morgan Tsvangirai today said he will not accept a situation where Zimbabweans will yet again be railroaded and frog-marched into another illegitimate and violent election.
"As Morgan Tsvangirai, the Prime Minister of Zimbabwe and the President of the MDC-T, I will not accept a situation where Zimbabweans will yet again be railroaded and frog-marched to another illegitimate and violent election," said Tsvangirai.
"In short, another June 27 2008."
