A WOMAN from Bulawayo's Nkulumane 12 suburb is accusing her estranged husband of using other men to propose love to her in a bid to trap her and find reasonable grounds to file for divorce.

This would enable her husband, Mr Blessing Munetsi to sell their properties, Mrs Manyara Masendewe told a city magistrate.

Manyara (43) last week appeared in court as a key witness in a case involving Edson Muinzani from Queens Park East suburb who was beaten up by his girlfriend, Nosimilo Dlamini who ganged up with two other women who are still at large.

Dlamini is Manyara's former maid.

The fracas happened at Manyara's house in Nkulumane. This was after Manyara had secretly arranged with Dlamini to set a trap for Mr Muinzani (46) when she invited him to her house under the guise that they would spend the night together. However, little did Muinzani know that Manyara had secretly planned with the man's girlfriend to punish the philanderer for his dirty antics.

When Muinzani arrived at my home I offered him a seat in the lounge and little did he know that his girlfriend was hiding in my bedroom. I then briefly excused myself and left him alone as I went to my bedroom pretending that I was going to prepare the room.  I then tipped Dlamini before going back to the lounge. I quickly led him to the bedroom where he stumbled on the already furious Dlamini standing right behind the door," said Manyara.

An altercation ensued between the two lovers during which Dlamini summoned her friends who are still at large and they teamed up and assaulted Muinzani.

"While Muinzani was being assaulted I called my tenant, Ms Mpoe Marvelous Moyo to witness the incident," said Manyara.

Manyara accused her husband of likely being the instigator of the approach by Muinzani.

"My husband is behind all these dirty tricks. Edison was sent by my husband to propose love to me hoping that I would fall for the trick," she claimed.

"In fact, he left me for another woman, Celestine Tshuma, and they are now staying in Harare. What pains me is that he also took our seven-year-old daughter and worse still he wants to sell our house. He is framing me because he wants to file for divorce first so that he can be able to sell the house," she said.

In February, Manyara sued her husband's mistress, Tshuma, for $8 000 accusing her of ruining her marriage, destroying a business she co-owned with her husband and intentionally causing her "severe emotional stress."
