Yet to be confirmed reports from Bulawayo's high density suburb of Njube indicate that heavy political violence has erupted in the township as MDC-T and Zanu-PF supporters clash at an MDC-T rally.

According to the reports, Zanu-PF bused in a crowd of its youth to disrupt an MDC-T organised rally. The clashes are said to be so bad that the MDC-T National Deputy Spokesperson Thabitha Khumalo and three other MDC-T women are said to have been attacked and left in her bra in the fiasco.

Police from nearby Njube Police Station are said to be twinning up with the Zanu-PF youth to bundle anyone suspected to be MDC-T into police vehicles and into detention. It is not clear at the moment if the MDC-T rally had been sanctioned by the police or not.

Police officers at the station are refusing to speak to the media neither do they want to confirm if the MDC-T rally was indeed scheduled to take place as scheduled.

Bulawayo24 News has dispatched a team to the site and more details will be made available as they happen. Meanwhile anyone on site is asked to send updates and pictures to the Bulawayo24 News whatsapp hotline number.
