Tsvangirai's supporters threaten to bewitch MDC-T official

MDC-T supporters have threatened to bewitch the party's Bulawayo provincial organising secretary Tsepiso Mpofu to force her to step down as infighting in the party turns nasty.

According to the Southern Eye, Mpofu's Mpopoma house was, in the early hours of Friday and Monday morning, stoned by party supporters, who allegedly left strange artifacts, with written messages threatening to bewitch her.

Mpofu has been resisting moves to push her aside, inviting the wrath of opponents in the party who are targeting toppling acting provincial chairperson Dorcas Sibanda.

Sibanda's Paddonhurst house was stoned early on Friday and Monday and she accused party opponents of being behind the attack.

No comment could be obtained from Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Mandlenkosi Moyo on whether there had been any arrests.
