A woman yesterday dragged her husband's alleged hooker ex-girlfriend to court seeking a peace order against her.
Memory Mukunda of Bulawayo's Pumula North suburb told Provincial magistrate Abednico Ndebele that she wanted a peace order against Duduzile Mlotshwa of the same suburb who she alleges is constantly harassing her.
"Every chance she gets, she shouts at me and insults me in public calling me a prostitute. Instead she's the one who is in the prostitution business. I can assure you she's a prostitute, my husband and his friends told me she charges $5 for a one round and $20 for the whole night,'' said Mukunda.
"This woman's first born is the same age as my husband. I'm failing to understand what an old woman like her is doing with my husband."
The court heard the two women are neighbours and sometimes they cause a stir in public places such as shebeens, as they both drink beer.
Mlotshwa said Mukunda was lying.
"I don't agree with what Memory is saying. We were lovers with her husband before she married him in 2009. The affair just lasted for a short time and I never called her a prostitute," said Mlotshwa.
Ndebele granted Mukunda the requested peace order against Mlotshwa.
"A peace order is granted against the respondent in favour of the applicant. The terms of the peace order are that in the next three years the respondent doesn't verbally abuse the applicant nor harass her in any manner whatsoever," said the magistrate.
